I’m using woopra to track live visitors and I’m not sure, but it seems that it’s missing a bunch of visitors! I know this because I’m also running a plugin on my site that shows me the Users that are at the site and there are many more visitors that aren’t shown on Woopra. Now, some of these visitors may be bots, but I’d sure like to know with more certainty when a person is on the site.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can be more sure about how well Woopra is working for me? I’ve looked at the Woopra forums and have seen comparisons between Woopra and Google Analytics, but Google isn’t meant to track in real time which is what I need.
Why do I need it? Because Plexav.com enables people to be on the air LIVE! Pick up your cell phone and dial “Wizard Bing” and if the line isn’t busy, you’ll hear the phone ring (once or twice) and then you’re on the air!
And, if you register to be a correspondant, you can post images, text, links and videos which will all appear on the site. Visitors won’t have to refresh the page, they’ll just appear! Witnessing a newsworthy story?? Call “Wizard Bing” and with your web enabled phone you can post images, video, and you can describe the goings on at the same time!
This is the new dynamic web and you can be there!
wordpress plugin for interactive video -
a first look
August 14th, 2008
Kaltura has released a plugin for Wordpress that let’s bloggers:

- Upload, and import videos directly to the blog post (this is what I did a moment ago);
- Edit and remix videos using Kaltura’s online full-featured video editor;
- Easily import video and other forms of rich-media from other sites and social networks, and;
- Allow readers and subscribers to add video and audio comments, and to participate in collaborative videos.
You can find the plugin at the Wordpress Plugins Download Page.
Given that there are plugins that provide for uploading of videos and images, Kaltura’s offering seems most interesting with regard to the editing capabilities they offer. Will be adding to this post once I have the opportunity to try out the 1.0 version of their plugin to see how robust it is and what types of editing capabilities they offer up to bloggers.
I’m a bit concerned that Kaltura’s limiting free video bandwidth to 3Gb. It doesn’t seem like very much data before one has to begin to pay Kaltura for the use of their servers.
I’m downloading it right now and ought to have it up and running here any time now. Feel free to upload a video comment!
The Spacializer Widget - A Soundmixing Lightshow
April 16th, 2007What it is: Roll your mouse over the glowing orbs and mix some music!
The Spacializer Widget represents multiple sound samples, each as a luminescent orb of color. The volume of each sample varies depending upon how close your mouse pointer is to the associated colored orb.
Keep your visitors at your blog by giving them a diversion in between reading your posts!
How to Load it: Just unzip the directory into your wordpress ‘plugins’ directory and it ought to work just fine.
Below you’ll see how I’ve included it on my blog in the past.

Download the Spacializer Widget v.4 here.
