Robot future poses hard questions

Scientists have expressed concern about the use of autonomous decision-making robots, particularly for military use. As they become more common, these machines could also have negative impacts on areas such as surveillance and elderly care.

While I appreciate the broad thinking some scientists demonstrate, it’s important to consider the following:  One cannot form something the complexity of which surpasses the complexity of one’s self.

His ideas relating to vicarious selectors, and Francis Heylighen’s ideas on second order dynamical systems theory (metasystem transitions) provide a foundation for understanding the world and how people organize experience.
